Could the Bible Be Considered "Hate Speech"?
Could the Bible be Considered “Hate Speech”?
(October 12th, 2010; Mike Hissam and Robert Marino)
It's always been a matter of convenience to me when it comes to reading the news from the news websites online while having something to eat. And we've all come to terms with how the news from these websites can be skewed, unchristian-like in content and so on. But what had got my attention today to want to comment about this subject was a story in particular that I am sure everyone has been hearing about which is in regards to the gay movement. From the “cyber bullying” to “bullying” has this become a soapbox for the gay movement to stand on for the LBGT community to make their erroneous claims. And it's gone on with their highlights and associations to nearly every news story I have seen online for the last month or so. But what is even worse is that I was reading an article online about “the Mormon leader's comments spark outrage” in which the link to the story is located here:
So the question would be … ”What would be my point with all this”? My point is about sometime last year I had been loosely following some of the news “drama” in regards to Franklin Graham in which he was uninvited to the “National Day of Prayer”, but a comment Mr. Graham had made was that he had said “I foresee a time when the Bible will be regarded as hate speech”. If you were to click on the link above and scroll down to the 9th paragraph down……this may now have become true. The LBGT (gay) movement response to Mr. Boyd Packer (of the Mormon Church) when he said that the passing of any measures of “gay rights would legalize immorality” was then quoted as saying:
“While we respect your right to say what you want, we will hold you accountable,” Ethington said, explaining the intended statement. “There are consequences for hate speech.”
Even if this is used once in a news article or quoted once, the damage is/has already been done. Because the Bible does have a clear outline of what God thinks on the subject.
1st Corinthians 6:9 - “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind [homosexuality]. The reference and attitude towards the Bible may have already begun to be looked at as “hate speech”, where this may be the first citation of it being called that.
But do you know what disappoints me more than this news article in itself? It is to see that it took a Mormon church to “stick to their ground” when it came to biblical morality. Where was the true church of God - the bride of Christ taking a stand on this issue? The largest “cult” of the United States (in attendance) is setting a good example that the TRUE Christian church should be leading not following some cult. In my opinion, we as the “body”, should have all united against this issue before it got out of control to a point like this.

And because of:
The lack of caring or involvement in what our children are being influenced by.
Not paying attention to what their schools (agenda) are teaching them.
The being caught up in (and incorporating) “humanism” into church teachings.
Scripture twisting, scripture adding and scripture dropping.
What “seems to be right” or is appropriate to follow parts of the Bible when we, and what we feel like.
Not reading the bible itself.
Not setting the example by reading and practicing what we read.
Not caring for our neighbors and fellow brothers and sisters in a spiritual sense.
Not taking a united stand against unchristian issues.
(-I'll leave this blank so you can add your favorite reason here you see wrong-)

…are just some of the issues where these people have been able to:

Find gaps and holes in our doctrine
Lead others astray by confusion through the manipulation of human emotion.
To raise your children according to their “agenda” where taking them to church once a week (Sunday) was thought of to “be good enough”.
We have a responsibility to do and also to raise our children and “establish and live by God's standards”.
Deu 6:1  Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
Deu 6:2  That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Deu 6:3  Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Each one of us needs to stay true to the word of God as it is written, as it is in clear fine print as well as put it into practice because “he who stands firm to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13). I am typing this document out of concern for those who may be lost, potentially influenced by these types of people and false doctrines. And now there is a growing number of “those who claim to be Christian” who believe these people should have a right to voice their concern and issue as well as believing “that Christ would accept all regardless”. And should we all not be concerned? What about Matthew 7:21-23, when it says:
21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."
This gap and “distance” these people are able to wedge between us is only as far as the “distance” there is between you and your neighbor, between you and that person that sits next to you at church. In my own opinion I have to say that I am amazed at almost every time I go to church, I absolutely never hear of anyone talk to each other more then:
What plans they have after service.
What's been new since the last time they saw them at church last week (in a secular sense such as job, vacations, etc…)
How that “golf swing” is coming along.
What time is the “game” on today? (TV)
…where there seems to be more effort into “after church activities” and where to eat “brunch” at then it is to ask someone how their spiritual life is going as well as any current issues that may be affecting them. It may just be an issue like this where maybe one of their children may be caught up in this LBGT (gay) movement where they are too embarrassed to bring it up to anyone (out of shame) unless someone befriends them and is willing to listen. But in the meantime, the more the problem is left unattended or not dealt with, then the more time their child can stay (and become more grounded) in that state of confusion. It saddens me to know that each day, thousands upon thousands of people perish - about 170,000 per day now. There are only two places for eternity that you, I, and the next person and so on will end up.  Matthew 25:33 says that: “He will put the sheep to the right and the goats to the left”. But the question is - which one of these people will you be?
… the “right” or to the “left”?

Robert's input: When Mike mentioned the CNN religion article to me today, I asked him to write an article about it. I heard the passion in his voice how this bothered him and the best time to write is when your passion is burning or when inspiration comes upon you. It's almost like prophecy but then again the main definition for prophecy in the Bible is “to preach”. Thanks Mike. Now for a few words from your Sacred Cowtipper. Yeah right - a few words? Bear with me.
The liberal administrations of Bill Clinton and Obam-a have been slowly backing the ADL (Anti-Defamation League) in regards to the Hate Crimes Bill and taking away free speech from the Christian community of which will inevitably be the taking away of our Bibles that they consider FULL of hate speech. Just read in Galatians chapter 5 and Romans chapter 1 what God thinks of immorality and THEN AGREE WITH IT and you will be in trouble my friends. God Almighty and Jesus are a bunch of hate-mongers according to what these people believe and are pushing. The time of COUNTING THE COST is at hand for every Christian in America. We may lose our homes, retirement funds, nest eggs, and belongings through Hate Crimes fines or maybe even our life whether put in prison for a good spell or executed for dissention. Fines and imprisonment has already been going on in other countries that the ADL has already got legislation passed in. A man lost his life savings in Canada some years back just for printing a gospel tract and deciding to fight the fine in court. A pastor in Sweden was put in jail for preaching against homosexuality in his church - not on the streets. The sad part about that is only one minister in all of Sweden stood with him - and it was a Word of Faith full gospel preacher (Ulf Eckman) that is big on evangelism. Where were you Baptists, Methodists, and Presbytereans? Sometimes you are so quick to judge them on the prosperity message but where were you on this one? Now I didn't say I agree with the prosperity message - it is heretical but they do teach a lot of things correctly. Let's pray for them.
Trying to get these LBGT people delivered from their sin so they can go to Heaven instead of Hell is not considered kind but cruel but then again - what do you expect from nonbelievers and lawlessness lawyers? I was kindly talking and debating atheists and evolutionists on this week and yet most responses to me were a bunch of cussing and name-calling against me from those who don't know much about their religion of evolution. I stayed kind toward them but they have freedom of speech and can say what they want. I quit reading their responses and let the water flow off my back like a duck. Oh, they hurt my feelings - sob, sob. I wouldn't think of putting any of them in jail or fining them for Hate Speech - it's their right to have a limited vocabulary. Slam! They will get their reward of lawlessness when they die if they don't come to Christ.
But that isn't how it is with Christianity - we are the only ones that are being told to shut up. But how do you obey the Great Commission of God if you shut up? If you don't share your faith, you are in disobedience. If you share your faith and leave out repentance for fear of Hate Crime's fines and imprisonment, you will make false converts. If you preach repentance but don't clarify what one needs to repent of, what good is it? We are not saved from a non-prosperous life, as the Joel Osteen's would make you believe. We are to be saved from sin, God's wrath [judgment], and Hell.
On the parents raising their kids thing:
Every Christian family should have pulled their children out of public schools 50 years ago. I think they just don't want to pay the money to put them in private schools or are too lazy to teach them at home. John Dewey, famous Communist and signer of “A Humanist Manifesto I” played a big part in turning our public school system around to raise your kids as humanists and atheists. And now Massachusetts is even having schoolchildren pray to other gods now to teach them tolerance. If the very souls of your children don't matter to you, I have to question as to why God allowed you to have them in the first place. You didn't deserve them if you didn't raise them up to be godly children with strong faith. I don't even have children but it bothers me to the high Heaven to know that so many Christian-raised kids become atheists and agnostics in their first year in college because they were not properly raised. I'm trying to win a few back to God and their parents. We may lose our heads some day to this New World Order that has drastically emerged in the last two years around the world when America finally got in sync with them through the current administration.
Mike, “Off with our heads!”
