Cosmic or Particulate Evolution
So what is Cosmic or Particulate Evolution? It is the first stage in evolutionary development of the Universe. It is the belief that everything came from nothing. That time, space, and matter all just somehow came into existence on its own. This is also what the "religious Humanists" believe as you will see below in their first statement of their first manifesto called "A Humanist Manifesto".
HUMANIST MANIFESTO I
First: Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.
A Humanist Manifesto, was written in 1933 primarily by Roy Wood Sellars and Raymond Bragg and was published with thirty-four signatories including philosopher John Dewey. Unlike the later ones, the first Manifesto talked of a new "religion", and referred to Humanism as a religious movement to transcend and replace previous religions based on allegations of supernatural revelation. The document outlines a fifteen-point belief system of which can be read at this hyperlink - (http://www.americanhumanist.org/Who_We_Are/About_Humanism/Humanist_Manifesto_I).
Hmmmm. John Dewey huh? Did you ever wonder why this stuff is so rampantly pushed in our public schools? John Dewey's philosophical ideas are abundant in our public school system. Is John Dewey a communist? Well, that's another topic that we might tackle at some other time if I get in a political mood but don't think that America hasn't been going astray for at least 80 years.
Cosmic Evolution teaches that ALL matter in the universe existed within a dot the size of a period on a page of paper. Can you imagine how heavy that little dot must have been? This dot then started to expand and spin. As it grew larger and larger, it finally exploded and from there we got all of our stars, planets, and moons throughout the Universe.
Other problems within this hypothesis of Cosmic Evolution would be:
Who put the really, really heavy dot out there in the first place?
Who got the dot spinning, expanding, and to explode?
Once this blob of expanding matter exploded, where did all the KNOWN laws of physics come from? The laws of thermodynamics, inertia, centrifical force, gravity, etc. etc.
Who is the lawmaker? Afterall, laws prove there was a lawmaker just like a painting proves there was a painter.
How did Earth just happen to be at the right distance from the sun so that life could even exist on it even if organic evolution were possible?
How did the moon just happen to be at the right distance from the Earth so that the tides and everything would not be a problem for life to exist?
How did the sun just happen to be the right size so life could exist over a long period of time?
How did the moon not just happen to be the right distance from the Earth but also the right size?
I guess one could go on and on with such questions because the problems with Cosmic Evolution are as infinite as the vastness of this majestic Universe that we live in. Walt Disney would be okay with such a theory because you would have "to wish upon a star". Get it? Wish upon a star - Cosmic Evolution. LOL
